Many people have practiced positive affirmation. Some achieved great results but others don’t.
Years ago, I started to use affirmation in the WRONG ways. No matter how hard I affirm the statements daily, the result seems only exist in the horizon.
Now, I am getting much better result in affirmation because I correct from my past mistakes.
Here are the 5 most common affirmation mistakes.
MISTAKE#1 : Think positive but FEEL negative
Most people who create great results with positive affirmation because they are emotionally positive people. They are passionate, enthusiastic, happy, loving, and high self-esteem people. Their positive emotions support their positive affirmations, and then they move forward quickly and achieve the things they want.
But the other group of the people, they think positive but FEEL negative about their capability, self-worth, self-image, making money, creating success, and so forth. They are moving forward with positive affirmations but putting a brake on with negative emotions. That is why working harder is not the solution.
The key here is to build positive emotions too. Learn about emotions if you are a logical person who may disconnect with your emotions for years.
MISTAKE#2 : Affirming something outside of yourself
Some people affirm their desired outcome which involves other people to behave differently. For example, Some internet marketers would affirming they can do joint venture with a particular partner or guru. The result would depends on how the JV partner / guru reacts. If the JV partner / guru is busy with another launch, the chance to get a yes is dime. We should create the affirmation on
ourselves not others.
MISTAKE#3 : Affirming something too complex
Our subconscious mind would stick to something simple. If your affirmation is “I feel good doing 5 joint ventures every week in each of the following niches : health building, nutrition, internet marketing, and golfing and to create 100 new opt-in each with 25% opt-in rate….”. Instead, keep the affirmation simple and easy to remember for yourself and your subconscious mind.
MISTAKE#4 : Affirming ‘I want to…’
When I started to create affirmation, I created an affirmation something like “I want to create 1,000 opt-in in the next 30 days.”. There are 2 fatal mistakes in the statement. First, the word ‘want’ translates to a lack state of mind which means I am affirming I constantly don’t have it. Second, the phrase ‘to create’ is a future tense which tell your subconsicous mind that things you desire are always take place in the future. And of course, future is never reachable but only the moment we can grasp now.
MISTAKE#5 : Affirming without taking action
Most people put their will power to repeat the affirmation every day but fail to take action. Only action can create result. And if you want a new result you need to take NEW actions. People say it is insanity to keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result. By doing positive affirmation with positive emotions, we will receive new inspiration. Take immediate action based on the new inspiration.
To help you to create your new powerful affirmations to boost your internet marketing business, I have created a simple PDF ‘Effective Affirmations Checklist for Internet Marketers‘. Download it and use it TODAY!
Well there was a guy Joe who always wanted to be rich. One day he has an inspiration to get rich by winning a lottery. So he started to ask for God’s help why he couldn’t get it. Suddenly one morning, he receive a voice from God saying “Joe my son, if you want to win the lottery, help me half way by buying a lottery ticket!”
